By accessing or using our Site, publication, quantitative models (including the LEAF Model), market commentary, and subscription services (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Use ("Terms"). Please read them carefully. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use our Services.

1. No Investment Advice

Morton Investment Research is an independent publisher of financial research, quantitative analysis, and market commentary.

Educational Purpose Only: All content, data, model outputs, target weights, and commentary provided through our Services are for informational and educational purposes only.
Not a Fiduciary: We do not provide personalized investment advice, financial planning, legal advice, or tax advice. We do not evaluate your personal financial situation, risk tolerance, or investment objectives.
No Recommendation: Nothing on this Site or within our communications constitutes a solicitation, recommendation, endorsement, or offer to buy or sell any securities, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), options, or other financial instruments.

2. Intellectual Property & Proprietary Rights

All content included in or made available through our Services—including text, graphics, logos, data compilations, charts, historical performance records, and the underlying logic, data, and outputs of the LEAF Model—is the exclusive property of Morton Investment Research and is protected by Canadian and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

Limited License: If you are a subscriber or casual user, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to access and view our content for your personal, non-commercial use only.
Prohibited Actions: You strictly agree not to copy, redistribute, republish, broadcast, scrape, resell, or commercially exploit any data, text, or model portfolios provided by us without explicit, prior written consent from Morton Investment Research.

3. Subscription Accounts, Billing, and Access Security

To access certain premium features, including active model updates, you may be required to register for a subscription account.

One Account Per User: Your subscription is personal to you. You are explicitly prohibited from sharing your login credentials, password, or premium email distributions with any third party. Account sharing may result in the immediate termination of your subscription without a refund.
Automatic Renewal: Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) depending on the plan you select. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel it before the renewal date through your account dashboard.
No-Refund Policy: Due to the instantly consumable digital nature of independent investment research, all subscription fees are non-refundable. Once a billing cycle occurs, you have full access to that period's proprietary updates, and no partial or full refunds will be issued for remaining days in the cycle.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Morton Investment Research, its partners, authors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to financial losses, loss of profits, trading losses, trading errors, data inaccuracies, or downtime, resulting from your use of or inability to use the Services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. All information is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without warranties of any kind.

5. Modifications to the Services and Terms

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our Services, including premium models or publication schedules, at any time without notice. We also reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Services following any updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

6. Governing Law

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You explicitly agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada to resolve any legal matters arising from these Terms.
