October Update


We continue to be pleased with the real time performance of the model. In October LEAF captured 62% of the NASDAQ's upside while experiencing less than half of the downside (during market corrections).

 Trade Summary

(CTA) Managed Futures was added to on Oct 1 and 27. All trades are a function of 3 things; expected short term price reversion, trailing volatility, and relative performance. In this case CTA had declining volatile while lagging the rest of the portfolio. 


Oct 10

Profit was taken on (VIXM) Mid-Term VIX Futures. It experienced an upward price increase over 6% to start the month. Taking it well above its target weight (as dictated with increases volatility, and high expected price reversion). 


Oct 15

Profit was taken on (UGL) 2x Gold.  It had risen 30.9% over the trailing month. It's target weight had also decreased -2.7% from expected price reversion.
